@itnewsbot some of the Websites now can register to send notifications through your browser. Personally I like this concept better than going through the OS's 3rd party services

@zeab I'm nervous to move from #gitea - I enjoy the simple things like how it's written in #go and such, but I'm constantly seeing people talk about #forgejo and I'm honestly curious. #DroneIO is also my CI/CD of choice at the moment because of #gitea

@0xZogG @zeab @Codeberg nervous as in I'm not sure which would be better for my use case :] my git storage is stored safely on an external device that I typically unmount during maintenance periods. I haven't seen anyone talk about what happened/why this fork exists and the differences, just people echoing that they're leaving #gitea - not sure what I'm missing that distinguishes the two front ends from each other other than one being community governed (edit: s/encrypted/external)

@coolboymew ngl I love these, I try my mandarin on them, and if I can't - I switch to whatever language I feel like. One time they actually got another interpreter, so I said "Thank you, I do not speak Russian- do you speak french?" in Russian and eventually they hung up. As long as I have time to waste, I can keep them away from gullible people lol

@izaya at my house, I have fiber for internet so I could safely cut the phone line to my basement. Then I have an ATA in the dining room which makes the ports in my living room, kitchen, and office all work again :]

@izaya I needed more ports than my ATA could accommodate for my phone, and fax machine- then I got extra ports as a trade off!

@simon LLMs are great when used properly, a lot of people would rather put in as little effort as possible and make fun of the mistakes LLMs produce instead. Doesn't matter how easy or difficult your task is, all that matters is if you and the LLM can discuss it in a way that'll give you good results without wasting unnecessary time
