@ElfLord Reference: I ate apples every day while working an office job. Sometimes I was very hungry while I was eating them.

@ehashman it doesn't seem to go bad all that fast. maybe it's whatever preservatives being used, but I've never had to throw any out for molding or souring

@inditoot The thing you should have done differently was not asking for an opinion a second time when you'd gotten a reply that the people you had tagged had no knowledge or interest in the subject.

@inditoot It isn't; repeatedly demanding responses is the undesired behavior here. If you use polite language and apologize when people get upset, you'll be more likely to get better answers. Because I think some of it is cultural differences, If you'd like help seeing the difference between what westerners would perceive as rude, I don't mind providing examples

#florespondence if you have magnolia in your area and have never smelled their blossoms, do yourself a favor and stick your sniffer up to one. They're lemony scented.I think each petal of the blossom on the left is probably the size of my hand, which is even bigger than I was expecting.

I found an #OsageOrange #MastoTreesThis tree is next to a road in an area that has only recently been developed, so there's still a lot of native plants and trees (they're doing their best to eliminate those, though 😢)I spotted it from the road a couple days ago and went back today. The really aged fruit had rolled down the road about 50', the two spotted green ones were windfalls already, and the bright green fell when I shook a branch

it makes me mad to imagine that there's all these >1mil houses (in arkansas, yes) surrounding this tree, and they don't even know or appreciate it being there

I was eating pizza yesterday (bbq chicken) when I thought 'this would be amazing if it were paneer tikka masala'then beau said that he wanted indian tonight, and I happened to remember a quirky indian fusion restaurant I really need to go to more oftenand there it was on the menupaneer tikka pizza(unfortunately I had already eaten dinner by that point, but I eagerly anticipate results tomorrow night)

my friend keeps posting these scare-mongery anti-5G articles on FB and I don't know how to counter them, or if I should. All I know is that I haven't died as a result of using a cell-phone, and they said similar things about those back 20 years ago. #5G #skepticism #mastohelp

@z @shadowfacts with toots, since we have vehemently eschewed quote retoots as a platform, there should be the idea of one object right? I think there's still this tendency for people who came of age on the internet pre Timelines and infinite scroll to have an Inbox 0 mentality toward consuming posts.

@z @shadowfacts Mayhap what is needed is a "read" indicator, and this isn't necessarily done server side since I think vbulletin has explored the outer limits of storing read post history in databases. Your read data honestly belongs on your device, and maybe not even persisted for too long. What I'd like is to theoretically reach the end of content without too much duplication. Use the same API calls, but filter out object IDs in my personal "read" history
