If Filipinos overseas have one month to cast their vote for this year’s elections, why can’t Filipinos in the Philippines have a week to do the same — so we can observe proper health protocols? What is different?

@evelyn the setup is the same, really. OFWs vote in a single 'barangay' precinct. Enlighten me on the cheating and chaos part. Maybe give some HOWs. :)

@evelyn in ideal situations, yes - it has always been one day only. However, the pandemic changes a lot of things. Cheating isn’t done at the precinct level (too obvious and too many precincts) - it is done at the other levels. :) If COMELEC strictly uses the biometric voter authentication, then that minimizes the potential for tampering and voting multiple times (no need for that indelible ink, which can be removed easily anyway).

@adam this was enabled in the US a few months ago. The on-device scanning of photos prior to saving it to iCloud is the one that has been suspended.

@neil @bitwarden thanks for this. Am using it on my deGoogled Graphene Pixel (non-primary device). The SSH key support for 1Password is just heaven-sent if you have remote servers to access.
