       @internetarchive In all my time on IRC, I don’t remember ever using this client.  I always used a PuTTY session to a BSD server hosting my login just so I could keep my username.

       @stux if you can swing it, sometimes it is better to halt work than try and make something with someone who isn’t going to be bearable to work with.  Why invest effort in something that is going to be a troublesome experience or could end up making the whole project a problem? It isn’t worth the stress.

       @stux I hope it works out for you.  I would gladly loose more interior space in favour of less traffic noise. I swear there is nothing more glorious than having a quiet environment, where you can hear the chitter of insects and the songs of birds.  I was privileged enough to grow up with that, and I miss it dearly.

       @stux It is a lot more difficult to accomplish that in places like Western Canada, where the settlement and the development of cars nearly went hand in hand. Everything got spaced out to accommodate vehicles instead of walking and riding traffic within towns and cities, and public transport outside of cities is nearly non-existent.Also, winter is absolutely brutal because if the cold and bowing snow, although the last 20 years has seen a significant and worrying change in climate.

       @stux That is a good point. Plus the ai accuracy is questionable.  My husband found an example of inaccuracy when he was looking up info on a situation that kept cropping up in his game. Somebody said something about the adoption of calculators, how there were worries about those, but the thing about calculators is they are accurate, that is not the case with Gemini and a few other AI properties.
