@simon @HartmutLeister @mfowler and all those researchers not only wasted their time, but where unable to stop releasing a set of products that are a complete failure. They did not even do a good job raising awareness about well known problems.

@brewsterkahle doesn’t open source requires copyright to exist? I understand that the content generated by generative AI cannot be copyrighted (so it may be Public Domain) but that doesn’t mean it’s remotely related to open/free source, specially considering it was never intended for artistic works.Also, do artists want that their works to be public domain? Sorry if I’m somewhat obtuse, but I find extremely difficult to follow the thesis of the article.
