i like programming, self-hosting, computer networking, using linux, doing graphic design, making art, 3d printing, tinkering with microcontrollers, and teaching myself anything and everything related to computers.i studied for a few years at the university of minnesota twin cities toward a BIS in comp sci, gdes, and deaf studies. but i haven't finished yet because...

i'm deaf and disabled! i had a brain tumor on each of my auditory nerves; the first one was removed in 2013 and the other in 2020, both of which severed the nerve. i had been learning ASL for a few years in preparation but i don't have anyone to practice with so i'm really rusty.on top of that i have balance and mobility issues, anxiety and depression, and a whole host of smaller issues that get in the way of traditional education even with accommodations.

i'm non-binary and a lesbian! my gender is important to me and i've spent a long ass time figuring it out.i'm mostly an anarcho-communist, though it's flexible and i believe left solidarity will only make us stronger. capitalism is the common enemy we should spend our energy fighting.

@vkc @t54r4n1 the biggest hurdle i could see with that is having to rely on something like stripe to process credit cardsof course you could accept crypto but that comes with the downside of it being... crypto

brassica oleracea is such a cool and useful plant. it's fascinating to me how it's been artificially selected into a bunch of almost entirely unrecognizable yet characteristically unique cultivars.i say unique because look at all these fractal-like patterns! these are all the same species of plant!!

@lispi314 honestly i think the games might be the most accessible part. it's the streamers talking that is inaccessible to me.i like @ironiridis' proposed solution. maybe it could even be a feature of OBS or whatever ppl are using these days so that the client would only need to send 1 audio stream along with captions auto-generated from the raw voice feed.
