       @5init honestly, the algorithm is just the default/mainstream contents of whatever country you're in if you're not that active (i used to be a chronic tiktok user). just interact more on contrnts that interest you and click 'not interested' on those cringey indonesian tiktoks and it'll gone.

       damn, this poll makes me feel young af. guess that's why finding fandoms i'm into is hard (except for tech stuff) compared to twitter.        @bros@jir.moe well i don't know if hosting my own fedi instance counts as "simplicity" 😆. sure i might be (i am) an outlier in this gen, but imo they just don't understand how the whole decentralization thing works, not to mention the current state of centralized web as we know today. that's make it even harder for younger people to join, i mean i've tried introducing fediverse to some of my friends but they're confused as to "why is there so many servers", "why do i need to choose" or "why can't there be just one server".
