Mutual aid for two disabled burnouts while we look for jobs and wait for medical help with our ADHD etc 💜 I've been procrastinating making this post bc I'm so damn tired, but we're really struggling to pay for rent and food since R was overworked to the point they had to quit for their own health and safety! It says August rent bc there's no way we're gonna fundraise enough for July lol, a family member is gonna help out with his credit card but obviously we can't live on that forever or he'll just go into a ton of debt too... Hopefully I'll figure out better ways to set up commissions so we don't have to rely on people (him or y'all) just wanting to help us bc I can actually offer something 😅 wish me luck

Okay so tomorrow I start ADHD medication finally! I'm really really hoping that'll help me kinda get my shit together, starting with my music, setting up commissions, and looking for a job. Hopefully I'll be able to avoid seriously needing the last one, but it feels like a pipe dream to make money without a formal job at a corporation these days and it's hard as hell to get one, so I'll keep looking until I find one or feel comfortable with other ways of paying the bills!

Job search still sucks even with Adderall, and I haven't updated the Ko-Fi goal yet but the landlord randomly decided to stop including some utilities that were originally included in the rent (and they're not even split based on how much we actually fucking used), so it's as if our rent has gone up by almost $200. @futurebird @emilymbender I'm sure it *could* be altered to give those warnings, and I'm also sure it *won't* be. People understanding what LLMs actually do would ruin the whole plan of the tech bros funding it. Any education is gonna have to take place outside of the apps/websites with the LLMs, and then there's a decent chance people go "oh weird okay lemme double check that with ChatGPT" 🫩 I honestly am not sure where we go from here, it's terrifying

@mutualaid it's my birthday tomorrow and my gift from the credit card company was a like $200 increase in the minimum payment for unknown reasons 🙃 I thought I had enough money in the bank to pay for both credit cards this month, but now I've paid the upped one and won't have enough to pay the other one. I know rent is a lot, but if y'all could help me at least meet my credit card bill that'd be a huge relief$0/200 for minimum CC payment$0/1500 for rent and part of utilities, idk all of it

@futurebird @ZahmbieND @MCDuncanLab I agree that when giving to a person, it's pointless to worry about what they might spend the money on. But it seems the concern here was other people who aren't really struggling, seeing free money and taking it because they don't give a shit that other people can't afford food. If we had more resources, that'd be pointless to worry about too, and it might still, but I understand wanting to increase the odds that this money gets to a food insecure person

@futurebird I'm hoping more Nebula-like projects pop up and/or more creators join. PeerTube would be even better, but right now it seems the main barrier to that move is monetization 😩 bc everyone's gotta eat but most viewers aren't willing to pay, so the videographers have to till the digital soil for pennies from advertisingThat said, those who take sponsorships... Idk why they would need to stay on YouTube lol
