@lauren Perhaps I'd have less of a problem with the "thoughts and prayers" thing if I'd ever get the impression that any of the people saying it would actually *mean* the "thoughts" part. But I don't think I've ever seen any real thoughts from any of them.

@jsrailton I've sometimes wondered how he became the richest guy in the world in the first place. I mean, Gates and Bezos are both pretty shitty guys who did a lot of very shitty things, but each of them has long sold things that a lot of people are buying.Meanwhile, before Musk bought Twitter, his main claims to fame were a car brand that is still very much a niche taste, spaceships that keep exploding, and various other projects that are still in very theoretical stages.
