Ella, an activist who was evicted from the occupied Dannenröder Forest in Hessen, Germany, was yesterday sentenced to 27 months in jail. The sentence was based on contradictory evidence from anonymous SEK officers, and is considered to be a political sentence designed to set an example.The forest was occupied to protest the construction of yet another highway, and was evicted by police last Autumn in brutal and dangerous manner. Because the SEK (special police unit) officers who gave evidence against Ella were anonymous and masked, I guess we'll never know if they were some of the same cops who were recently exposed as neonazis, which led to the disbanding of the #SEKFrankfurt

@sneak Well it's still a better solution for us than potentially increasing the reach of content that is discriminatory, right wing, etc. With the old instance there were loads of right wing videos. So by hosting there we were basically propagating that content as well.In fact I have the experience that on Kolektiva.media we have more chance of reaching our target audience anyway.

@sneak Its nothing to do with censorship. And certainly not in this situation. So I'm not "wrong". We have a film that a lot of different people watch, mostly spread through other means than the video platform itself. And if we would remain on an instance that hosts or links to right wing propaganda and other such content, we are not only passing that on to our viewers but in my opinion also appearing to legitimize it.I think you have misunderstood what censorship actually means. It certainly doesn't mean that I am obliged to provide a platform for hateful and discriminatory content. I'm not proposing to seek out that content and destroy it, but I don't have to actively propagate it myself. Or can you explain to me what exactly you understand under censorship?There's also a time for "knowing your enemy", sure, keeping tabs on their plans and ideas, but I don't think that has anything to do with this situation.

Hey #followerpower Next week we have some screenings around #Berlin. We have a few days in between screenings and we are looking for a sleeping place for two nights (14th and 15th September).We will be two people and one elderly dog. One of us is chronically sick and noise sensitive so its important for us to have a quiet and calm room.So far we haven't found anything, and we can't afford to book something. Our other option would be to sleep in the car or tent somewhere a bit outside the city, so if anyone has experience with wild camping around Berlin this could also be interesting for us.Maybe someone can help? @strypey Are you suggesting we should just look away from bad things? Sometimes its important to see whats going wrong in the world, to learn about other peoples struggles, to spread awareness. Thinking about stuff like recent events in Iran, where a positive Outcome is very dependent on the world having accurate Knowledge of "bad stuff". Should we just ignore these things?I find it a good Solution to use content warnings for such content so people have the choice when to engage. But a lot of problems and suffering are already marginalized enough in society and it would be a pity to continue that trend here. Actually i see one of the great purposes of Social Media to provide a voice to the voiceless and get around press bias and censorship.

@essie_is_okay You could try Kingfisher toothpaste I dont know if it is high fluoride but they do have a version of their Fennel toothpaste with fluoride in it. I have only tried the non fluoride version and that was pretty mild so would expect similar.Maybe this helps: "The level of fluoride in our Mint and Fennel Fluoride toothpastes is 1450 parts per million. @essie_is_okay Its really my favourite toothpaste, used the non fluoride one for years. But due to neglecting brushing sometimes for months on end in younger years I start to get problems now so have also started to use fluoride again and had good results with Parodontax. Its true that its a strong taste but not minty.

@ErikUden @olafke probably better to link the source in the post as well? I for example mostly use mastodon in browser on a smartphone and I still haven't found a way to see the alt text so would not have access to the source. Especially when so much misinformation is going on these days a post like this is basically useless to me without source.
