@tlalexander @notjustbikes Yeah regulatory capture but just seems absurd that a user configurable option to break the law would be in there! That’s not even pretending to regulate if that’s allowed.

A long piece at KNKX about the availability and quality of drug treatment programs in Washington after #WaLeg made possession a gross misdemeanor and proponents claim the intent is to get folks into treatment. How I know our local leaders are not serious about public safety: the mayor’s priorities for the state legislature includes graffiti removal on state highways. As if that is a proven cause of harm like … at all. Nothing in the priorities includes anything that would allow Seattle to rapidly provide more housing or require denser housing everywhere in the city. #HarrellHorrorShow #Seattle

There’s a section on climate but it’s all about getting money from the state, encouraging EV cars and nothing about reducing vehicle miles traveled something that has been in COP reports for a long time as something critical for the US specifically to do. #ClimateChange #Seattle
