I guess in a way this is like saying "if you're called a tipped employee, but you don't actually get any tips, your employer must pay you minimum wage" so thats not as bad as I originally heard it.I still hate the reduced minimum wage for tipped employees, though. Still think that's theft of tips by the employer, through indirect means. Tips should be a bonus, not your whole source of income.

The part that I didn't realize before I wrote that is... we have that system in reverse. Poor people get executed at traffic stops, and the rich get away with murder.

"Meal of the day" at a grocery store.Take a recipe, fill a shelf with all the various items that go into that recipe. You can then, as a shopper, decide that you want that meal and just grab everything in one place. Of course, it couldn't work IRL because stores operate for profit. They want to sell "marketing" to inferior brands, so they stick expensive stuff on that shelf and you can never trust it.I just thought it would be nice to try new recipes without the hassle of research.

Treat yourself at least as good as you would treat another person, or a pet. Accept that they will make mistakes. Sometimes they will be emotionally or physically uncomfortable, give them some comfort. They have gaps in their knowledge, and limitations in ability. Make it more difficult for them to make mistakes or fail, by accommodating their eccentricities. Don't use violence to create compliance. They will resent you for it."They" refers to yourself.

Fucking.. #opsecThere are bots that will follow everyone they see so that they can gain access to followers-only posts. Not sure what the intention is, but I'm pretty sure it's harassment related based on a little digging I did. I finally decided to block a couple of these bots who had followed me. I don't even do followers-only posts, it's just the principle of it.

I had somehow convinced myself that it was difficult to find capital to invest into new businesses and innovation under socialism. I woke up clear-headed this morning and the answer came to me easily.The WORKERS! They won't be completely broke and struggling to pay their bills under socialism. When you own the means of production you pay yourselves appropriately. The workers have the profit. THEY invest!It's so obvious to me now... Capitalist propaganda has rotted my brain.

Under capitalism, the owner of a business (that is... NOT you!) charges customers (that IS you) as much as they can, and pays the workers (also you!) as little as they can get away with.When you own a business, do you price gouge yourself? Do you underpay yourself?Surely not.

@urusan Imagine if every single worker had $50,000 in the bank. They could open their own businesses all by themselves. Get 5 workers together and pool their savings, and you've got a lot of capital to invest.Problem under capitalism as it is right now, is that nobody's got savings at all. Most workers have debt instead.

A physical scroll wheel seems like a great candidate to add to a phone.. Would make water proofing impossible, but, I would enjoy the return of tactile buttons and knobs. Could double as volume control too.

One thing I actually like about the iphone is the physical "silent mode" switch. Do they still have those?Always struggled to remember which side of the switch was "silent" though. Didn't matter much because I almost always want it silent. I just enjoy knowing that I for sure did not accidentally turn notification sounds back on.

@black6 I'd go for a titan slim, or pocket. The original Titan is a bit old. I'm using a Ulefone now. Same feel, but no keyboard. The square screen was more trouble than the keyboard was worth. Video playback always has to be letterboxed.
