I think someone, and I'm not naming names here, fell asleep on their spacebar.

@calculsoberic It was a bit of a struggle at first coming from KDE 3.5x, but Plasma was just a complete crap show for me.

@calculsoberic Well, KDE and Plasma is a significant distinction.

@calculsoberic KDE implemented Plasma around 2012[-ish?. I don't remember exactly] at KDE version 4. I'd been playing with whatever version comes with Debian 11, and it was still over-complicated. 3.x had a lot of fine grained configuration control, and it was much easier to navigate for me.

@calculsoberic You're right. I've already deleted that vm, so I can't tell if it was indeed in Debian 11, or something else and I'm just confused by lack of enough sleep/coffee.

@calculsoberic Hey, guess what I found. It is Debian 11 running KDE 5.x and Plasma. I just can't remember how I installed it. Not earth shattering, I know. Just good to know I'm not losing my mind. 🙂👍Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 11KDE Plasma Version: 5.20.5KDE Frameworks Version: 5.78.0Qt Version: 5.15.2Kernel Version: 5.10.0-21-amd64OS Type: 64-bitProcessors: 4 × Intel® Xeon® CPU W3565 @ 3.20GHzMemory: 7.8 GiB of RAMGraphics Processor: SVGA3D; build: RELEASE; LLVM;

@bonequest I'd lick a dick because it's Wednesday. I mean, I wouldn't write that on the form, but yeah.

@Polychrome This song is really good. Where did you find it? I'm coming up empty with my searches.

@Polychrome Thank you! Really enjoying this site, and the fact that these files can be converted to flac.

These speakers and this receiver have been stored away for the past nine years. I packed them away when I went to Europe, expecting to eventually settle somewhere that would be suitable for them.I've got a Klipsch 2.1 Promedia setup in the Shack now that is far more than adequate for my needs. So I'm at a loss for what to do with the receiver and speakers.Both the Klipsch and the Yamaha and Infinitys get plenty loud, and the latter are far too nice to let go of, and far too nice to expose to conditions inside the Shack. The Promedias are also far too nice to get rid of.File under #Conundrum.

This is a problem because I'm running out of space to store things, and store them in the attic is the worst possible place to store them due to the heat fluctuations. I have all the patch cables I need to set everything up to work together. I just don't need to.

And then there's the matter of four hundred audio CD's. I have three of these crates, plus a bunch that I don't have in a proper crate. I've thought about putting up shelves. One for each crate. They're stunningly heavy.

@brosandprose I was just thinking about that. Twitter was invaluable for organizing and sharing information, especially for bail funds and jail support during Occupy and every major action of the last fifteen years, at least.
