@stux so I’ve been thinking about what good fediverse citizenship looks like, and whether there’s an obligation to spread the load and/or run our own instance if we can, to make the system more resilient and reduce the labour we put on folks who find themselves as hubs. Right now there is that “everyone in the kitchen at a party” thing where folks clump together out of instinct but not sure it is ideal or needed behaviour

@Raspberry_Pi @javielico the arrogance and arrant stupidity necessary to strut into a community that is *famously* anti surveillance and *famously* anti cop and do… this, is just baffling. There is no upside here. There’s no right wing muskrat community to make up for the goodwill and customers lost. It’s all downside. Regardless of the rights and wrongs of your feelings on the subject, aren’t you paid *not* to drive customers away and make people loathe you?

@niclas @aral it’s a good question: from my reading of it I think their proposition is it’s simplified, and publishing to it is made eaiser by the various app based front ends, and it’s designed to allow a group of writers to collaborate. It seems to be more specialised and focussed than WP but also more limited. Happy to be corrected by a more informed writer.
