       @seth I’m fortunate. I have a good job and the time to make the music I like. While one may think that I’d rather get $7 for an album purchase than 5 cents for an album stream, I don’t. If I put my music at a location, I want people to enjoy it there.Do I see any revenue for Bandcamp streams? I haven’t yet.        @tante I thought the tragedy of the commons meant we need institutions to mediate private and community interests. Society of renters suck as does the libertarian/anarchist dream that we all get to do whatever.

       @icedquinn @realcaseyrollins An interesting point except law enforcement and prosecution are Executive branch functions and the prosecutions here are about someone who is not a President and thus not being unseated.

       @icedquinn @realcaseyrollins I detect a bit of goal post shifting.Privilege is a derived construct here. Its limits were not delineated and many legal scholars expected there would be no serious thought that privilege was complete. Even the SCOTUS majority did not find that, but, strangely tied the hands of the Executive Branch regarding evidence it can present to a jury.Plus, all the crimes that Trump was indicted for were crimes before he was in office. Ex post facto is irrelevant.

       @futurebird Don’t know if it will happen in my lifetime—I’m in the last third of my 60s—but I suspect a new Arts & Crafts movement is a-coming.Here’s my report from the land of lower-priced guitar amplifiers. There are knobs. But the knobs are controllers and a clockwise turn increases a numeric value and counter-clockwise decreases. They don’t stop turning when at the minimum or maximum point.  The amps are lighter and, inflation adjusted, cheaper than 40 years ago. But I miss a hard 10.

       @futurebird All year I as planning to get a new iPhone when announced.After watching the announcement I’m torn between the Plus with its pretty blue or teal and a Pro with its better camera and blander color.So other than giving AI a negative vote, and not thinking about the light—I work with envirnomental lighting—I think I’m down for the others.

       @futurebird @catmisgivings The best job I’ve had in the past ten years is the one I have now. 6 years ago, I was a candidate offered by a temp company. Last year, they were going to shed many of the temps, but I was one who converted to regular employee.But, to the point, I didn’t know anyone.Now, during my 50 year so-called career, interviewing as a mutual stranger, it wasn’t until I temped in 2016 that I got hired cold and even then, my percentage as a temp for being placed was low.
