@jang The request is required to pass. The DMCA is written that way. If a provider ignores a DMCA takedown request they lose their safe harbor provisions. The law is written with the mentality of "guilty until proven innocent" which is why abuse of the DMCA is so flagrant. There is no due process for the accused party.

Can't wait for someone to DMCA nginx because it lets you host illegal material.

I retract the latter part of my statement calling the MPA's decision "bird-brained". I know many very intelligent birds, and none of them work at Motion Picture Association, Inc.

DDoSecrets release: "Over 32 TB consisting of millions of videos, images and text posts from Parler (including ones from the January 6 Washington D.C. coup attempt) are now available on the DDoSecrets wiki at https://ddosecrets.com/wiki/Parler"To clarify I do not promote what is contained in the archive (nor does DDoSecrets). However, I believe it is in the public's best interest to have access to what was hosted on Parler before its demise.

If your website requires JavaScript or is behind Cloudflare, please do not expect me to actually read whatever is on it.

If you insist on requiring JavaScript to read text, I insist that you take a screenshot of your website and fax it to me every time you attempt to direct me to it.

@shadowferret I would characterize those more as "webapps" than a website. I've never used misskey, but I know Mastodon and Plemora both have native desktop and mobile clients. Even in terms of web clients, there are a couple of lovely JS-free ones, my favorite of which is Brutaldon. As far as I know it should also be compatible with Plemora but I've personally never used Plemora. I don't like webapps being required but I am okay with having the option. Optional JS is "fine".

Quick reminder that 13GB of internal Rockchip documentation (incl. wireless docs) were leaked by @deletescape. This includes wireless docs from other vendors and may or may not include documentation for the RK3399's wireless. The RK3399 is used in the Pinebook Pro as well as gru-based ChromeOS devices, and the wireless is the last part of the RK3399 that hasn't been freed.Anyway here's some random hash, no idea what is for ;)5f5f1150c9dec4a7f5547300d54cf07f6d75cd01

I'd like to clarify that the Rockchip leak I posted yesterday does not contain wireless card documentation for gru-based Chromebooks. That was a mistake on my part and I should have looked more into it. The RK3399 does not have embedded wireless at all and it is up to OEMs to supply wireless chips. The leak does contain a massive amount of documentation on Rockchip SoCs and other wireless cards though.

Now for the good news.gru-based Chromebook like the Samsung Chromebook Plus v1 use a card called the 88W8997P-NKW2, it is from Marvell. Documents found in the Rockchip leak may be useful as a reference. This is evident from teardowns posted on the FCCs website.Confidential documentation for this card was posted on the Nvidia Developer Forums. Here it is: https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/uploads/short-url/cFJoASm06zadLatRFWpMyepEjRK.pdfI am offering $500 (US) to anyone who writes a fully free (libre), cleanroomed Linux driver for this card.

To clarify: I was not the original poster of this documentation. The datasheet itself comes from a company called AzureWave (not Marvell). If you have additional documentation, especially directly from Marvell, please send it to @deletescape.If you have this card in your device, lspci -nn should return the following:01:00.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Device [1b4b:2b42] (rev 11)Although minor variants will likely return something different.

I've already put my $500 in the pot.If you would like to donate via Monero, uPlexa, or directly by Ethereum, check out https://warez.fund (currently having issues with the SSL cert, should be fixed soon though).Bitcoin donations will not be accepted due to the extreme toll Bitcoin mining specifically has taken on the environment.

The Dark Side of Spotify - https://invidious.snopyta.org/watch?v=whQ8UBoz-ToThis video details the rampant fraud on Spotify that takes money away from artists (and Spotify's seeming complacence with it).In the Free Software community we talk about Spotify's data collection and nasty DRM but its important to remember that even if those problems were fixed, the entire structure of the platform is still stacked against artists.Sponsor timestamps for skipping: 0:02-0:15, 21:52-23:30
