Our local catalog is on Linux machines and our Symphony is on Linux too, seems fine.

Don't push to prod on a FridayTo be safe, don't push to prod on a Thursday night.Really, someone might be off so don't push on Thursday.Consider not pushing to prod on Weds, as that's when everyone is running their security scans.Don't push to prod on Tuesday for reasons I can't yet think of.Don't push to prod on Monday, you're still getting over the weekend.Consider just not pushing to prod.

Only entirely because I'm curious, is there any kind of pirate site for ISO standards? It feels like there'd be a niche audience for this. $145 is... a lot to pay for a standard.

about to have another interview, but just got breast biopsy results back!no evidence of malignancy!there is some weirdness that I'm hoping a phone call with the doctor will explain -- e.g. does this mean I really do have to go into their high risk program now (which I was planning to put off until 45 considering timing in my family is post-menopausal) or is this just already what we were thinking was going on?

News you can use: if you’re looking for local sewing machine repair and service, try places that repair vacuums! They may put out info about which type of machines they specialize in but they often do others too, they’re just not selling/official service points! #sewing

In other work-adjacent things, TIL there is a cutting software named Alma: https://almacam.com/alma-an-expert-in-nesting-software-for-cutting/originally developed to cut fabric! Now cuts other things like sheet metal! This seems way cooler than our Alma and I now will be switching careers into one where I'm able to use the other Alma.

Posting a rare video because after not lifting over 200lbs for all of 2024 as I built back from a wrist injury—I tested my deadlift up to 244lbs tonight! (110.5 kilos) that’s a personal record jump of 28lbs, almost 13 kilos🙌🏻 #powerlifting

So, you may have seen that viral screenshot of Copilot in Excel summing 1, 2, 3 as 15. I am pretty sure it is faked.I am a certified shoving-AI-in-our-things hater. I am also a librarian who, for my sins, uses Excel regularly. I shall lay out my proposal below. I will then mute this thread because I don't want to engage with AI boosters or anyone questioning whether I'm secretly a copilot lover (barf)The claim:

This is my own replication of the viral screenshot where I have Excel summing what appear to be the same tightly-cropped rows 1, 2, and 3. However, the equation is =SUM(A1:A13).A couple things to note. The cropping on both this image and the claim is extremely tight on the left side. The cursor location has been blanked out. I suspect this is because it would've said A14, which is what mine said until I did this.I created this using nothing but Excel, Screenshot, Snipping tool to crop.

This is the full screenshot of what was happening on my spreadsheet.NOTE THE ALIGNMENT OF TRUE ROWS, 1, 2, AND 3. They have a lot more padding. This isn't proof, but it's suggestive. You'll also notice A14 in the current location field. The fact that it's missing is suggestive.

I've always been interested in frauds and scams. I've known how easy it is to fake screenshots without ever using a photo editing tool. I'm bad at editing images but I can crop fine. I can use the console to edit a webpage + screenshot & have demoed to older family.Whoever made this original screenshot and others who make untrue claims about this broken, unreality generator being foisted on us are only contributing to the overall lack of reality we're dealing with and it pisses me off.
