@AllineCormier @gynoid_art @theAVclub in other words, keep your expectations as low as you can manage. And work up from there. But make sure you can handle just caring for yourself first. And don’t let your brain take you to all sorts of crazy places about how terrible you are. You aren’t! And you aren’t alone! I had a terrible week for mental health. I spent 2 hours today just sitting outside trying to not have a panick attack lol. And I only made it in to work physically for one day (was very, very lucky I wAs able to mostly work from home this week). You aren’t alone and I’m sure many of us, including me, would be happy to talk to you when you need it.

@AllineCormier @gynoid_art @theAVclub yes! honestly make some small but reasonable goal to do every day and check it off in your day planner or calendar when you do it. For me in good periods of time, it’s not drinking. For me in bad periods of time, it’s anything as simple as showering or making it to work on time.

@nina I have a permanent retainer which makes flossing a battle lol (I’ve broken it on two occasions and getting it fixed is quite painful)

@DoctorDee ya I’ve found lately the feelings of hopelessness and self hatred etc. come on so strongly and so suddenly. Unfortunately, for me sometimes I feel just as bad or worse in the morning. I think I do need meds and therapist advice, but for now, I realize I just need to stick it out during those shitty feelings, because almost always they do pass and I feel normal again.

He can’t handle cooking one meal. and I think he might be coked up Cus some he’s acting very irrationally and some of the friends in the house are definitely coked up.

@You_cat_to_be_kitten_me the craziest thing is that I actually had a very nice dinner planned to make him (a chicken version for him, a tofu version for me) and I told him to defrost the chicken, and he decided to defrost beef instead and got so mad that I didn’t have a plan for the beef. And he kept yelling at me ‘just what do it do!’ ‘What ingredients do I use’ when he happened to do this when I was planning to make one of the most complicated recipes I know ……..
