@chidgey We had a grease trap at my first job in a restaurant, and I was thankful I never had to clean it out. We had an external company do it, and I have no doubt they weren’t paid enough.

@obsolete29 The only thing you need to feel is that it really whips the llama’s ass.

@kev 😂 Your older dog almost seems to be looking up saying “Wait, why the hell do I have to walk this whole time‽ “

@maique Glad you got it sorted, and good news it wasn’t Omicron as apparently sore throat is a common symptom with it.

@maique Rapid tests are becoming the big story and push here, along with getting people boosted. Unfortunately our case counts are climbing rapidly and restrictions have already been tightened. We’re not in a lockdown yet, but close enough. Stay safe over there!

@maique Le sigh. I’m starting to feel like the estimate of 2 years for this pandemic to run its course was being generous to our mental sanity.

@maique Agree with all of that, and the worry in the back of my mind is that a super variant will arrive that makes Omicron look like a snail. At the same time, if it’s more virulent and deadly we’re gonna be up shit creek without a paddle. At some point the countries that are still waiting for people to get their vaccines need to move on and share them with other countries. The anti-vaxxers have had *more* than enough time to make their choice.

@mike @maique That’s a great point, I just wish we could finally get some clear answers whether Omicron was more virulent and causes severe illness, as it’s still up in the air from what I’ve read.

@randomgeek I don’t think anything would be faster than Hugo. Never looked at Nanoc when I compared SSGs, how does it stack up against Jekyll?

@randomgeek Interesting, sounds like Nanoc is better suited to a full website as opposed to a blog. How does it compare to Jekyll in terms of build speed?

@randomgeek It’s too bad Hugo’s templating engine seems kind of obtuse IMO, but the fact it’s like greased lightning to compile makes up for it.

@mike @chris Truly we’re living in a world of denial, and that both angers and terrifies me at the same time.

@chris @mike I firmly believe someone who knowingly and willfully ignores health guidelines when positive for COVID, and infects anyone else who later dies as a result, should be held criminally responsible. That’s tantamount to manslaugter at the very least, if not murder, as I see it.Not a lawyer obviously, but speaking as a person who unlike them doesn’t have a broken moral compass that only points at myself.

@strawberryfieldsforever As a fellow introvert, this sounds very familiar. I’ve never been much of a social animal myself either, apart from situations like work or casual conversations when out and about. Beyond that, I’m most comfortable on my own and keeping to myself. I’ve always felt this way for the most part, probably explains why I have no remorse for not having any “real-life” friends.
