Is it possible to only enable the Linuxulator in #FreeBSD in a jail but not in the host? Or is it just enabling it in both but only installing the linux-* packages in the jail?

What's the common wisdom regarding #Ubuntu #Linux and systemd-resolved, dnsmasq, and NetworkManager?Had a weird thing happen where a #Wireguard tunnel didn't go up but DNS was still trying to connect to the DNS server over the WireGuard tunnel and was failing. Is there any way to stop the DNS madness? It looks like they're both clobbering each other.

@bubbleb74 Thanks, I'm already a FreeBSD user but unfortunately I don't have the option to switch as it's not my machine.

I've been using AWS at $day_job for 11 years.I can safely say to anyone who is looking into using AWS for their computing projects: DON'T.Not only is Amazon one of the most evil companies on the planet, their AWS is one of the worst cobbled together pieces of garbage I've had the displeasure of using. Not only that ... They charge you a premium for the displeasure. They will also try to lock you in to their services so you're dependent on them; they actually "dumb down" I.T. in doing so.

What happened to Signal Desktop in #FreeBSD? Seems there's no package for 15.0-Release?

@matthew Does restic run on Windows? If it does, use that. It's great backup software.

Holy moly.. I upgraded from a 24" monitor from 2009 that could only do HDMI, DVI, and VGA to two 27" 4K monitors that do HDMI, DisplayPort, and charging/display over USB-C. What a game changer!(Yes it took me that long. Yes I've ordered lots of new cables)

@JulianOliver I miss cicadas in the summer. We had them in New Jersey. In 2003 I was able to watch one of the largest broods emerge there. The sound was amazing. It sounded like 1950s flying saucers. Sadly, the U.K. doesn't have them. I need to dig up that photo I took of one in 2003.

@lightweight The '03 emergence I caught down in Princeton where there was a lot of really old trees so there were many more cicadas. @JulianOliver

@delta Hey I've been using your app for a couple of weeks now and there's just some cool improvements I'd like to suggest that I've gotten from a few people I've tried it out with: 1. Uploading multiple images at a time. This would be a cool feature. Signal has this and splits up the images so you can click on them. 2. On the desktop version of the app, can the emoji menu stay open after clicking on one emoji? Sometimes people like to do multiple emojis and having to reopen the emoji menu is a downer for them. Great work and the app and infrastructure are great! Looking forward to see how the project progresses! 👍

@feld @delta yeah I'm on 2.43.0 on my phone. I'm not seeing a video or audio calls option anywhere. Is it still experimental?
