As I think on it, it's even worse if this service connects to the broader fediverse where it can collect data on people who are outside the current meta ecosystem.

This week in “everything is terrible”:Tax preparers that shared private data with Meta, Google could be fined billions – Ars Technica https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2023/07/meta-wont-say-what-happened-to-taxpayer-data-it-may-have-illegally-collected/

It’s so blatantly easy to see how this happens. Big, complicated site. Product or business analysts screaming about how they need analytics or more data. They opt in to GA or Meta and don’t even think about the data that’s sent for every event in their application.

@loombot @pietro I’ve noticed this too and I assume it must be server bound somehow.

@RobW let’s not assume managers enjoy anything about them either.

One of the smartest things we’ve done is to keep a small cache of kids-birthday-party scale gifts around for when we inevitably forget to get a gift for such an occasion. Worked out well today when one of our Christmas guests brought their 6 year old boy along on very short notice. He got to open a Lego set along with the other kids. This is probably my one and only parenting hack.

Switched from Deliveries to @parcel and man the difference is astounding. I loved and subscribed to Deliveries for a long time and it really did seem to languish in hindsight. Parcel supports UPS, FedEx, and Amazon with the need for constant jumping to web views or having to reauthenticate.
