@Codeberg What's your policy for hosting code that isn't currently open-source, but is working towards it?I have some code I that I want to open-source, I'm actively working towards open-sourcing it (fixing bugs, writing more tests + docs etc.). However, I'm not in a position to release it right now as it contains code relating to unpublished research, which I'm working towards getting published.

@Codeberg How embarrassing - I read through that document and apparently blanked on the one sentence I was looking for! 😄Thank you very much!

@dushman @acousticmirror There's a women's tournament and an open tournament. The women's tournament was created to encourage more women to participate.

@fuxoft @obfuska) being trans is not related to your sexual orientationb) "respect" in this context means "with a basic level of decency"c) being responsible for the graphics stacks of such a major OS should be enough to earn technical respect

@fuxoft @obfusk b) the word "respect" has more than one meaning, and this is a very common use of the word.

@fuxoft @obfusk I was trying to give you the benefit of the doubt as it looks like you aren't a native English speaker, so I thought you might not know that meaning of the word respect. However, you've since made it quite clear that you're just spoiling for a fight, so I'm not going to engage with you any more.

@Codeberg Do repositories that are rarely updated contribute significantly to the load, or is it mostly generated by highly-active repositories?

Is there a Windows program that would allow me to link my phone runnins /e/ (~LineageOS/Android) to Windows 10, such that I can write messages on my Windows PC and send them via my Phone?"Phone Link" looks like what I'm after, but it requires a Microsoft account (which I don't have), so I wondered if anyone could recommend an alternative.@e_mydata #eOS#Android #LineageOS#Windows#Windows10

Dear Fedi,I'm given to understand that there are quite a few trans folk on here, and that more than a handful of us are developers. I would appreciate some advice from that demographic...I'm about to open source a (tiny, very niche) library that I started developing prior to my transition. Should I rewrite the git history to remove my deadname, or leave the change in commit author as it is?I'm torn...#Trans#Git#SoftwareDevelopment#AskFedi
