       @TonyStark Sadly, in 1969 the GOP still had a sense of shame. If one of them was caught in a scandal, they could step down, claiming they did nothing wrong but were doing so for the good of the nation or whatever. These days, the norm in the GOP is to double down, claim they're the victim of a partisan witch hunt, and refuse to budge. When was the last time someone on the right resigned after being caught? They make us throw them out.

       @TonyStark The ironic and sad part is that rescinding money for the IRS will make the problem worse, because it's the one thing that will help prevent hitting the debt ceiling: catching people earning >$400K cheating on their taxes. It makes sense, though, because those criminals are likely GOP voters.It's sad that the "law and order" party is adamant about more punishment for poor criminals, but less enforcement for wealthy criminals.

       @pivoinebleue I hate this pie chart for one reason: it shows 81M, 74M, and 101M as **equal thirds** of a circle. 101M is pretty damn close to 2/5 of the circle. Sure, 31% Democrat and 29% Republican looks close, but 40% dwarfs both those.
