       I love how in 2018 the only feature that I need in a text messaging app to get me to switch over is a non-electron client.

       Today I finally realized something I should have realized a long time ago: *the concept of a backend generating html is fundamentally incompatible with modern day sites*. All modern backends should just be apis, which seems like it leads to worse code but really there's just no other way.

       @crushv a 7 year old watching youtube? Think about the long-term reprocussions of that - you're basically training your brain from a very young age to prioritize extreme short-term pleasure (dopamine) over everything else.

       @crushv It's definitely necessary at some point, but they have to be mature enough to believe you when you explain the dangers of modern entertainment and how easy it is for companies to manipulate you through it.

       @crushv The meta tags wouldn't be rendered with something like vue - only the body would.

       "Facebook has run a program to collect intimate user data from paid volunteers for the past three years, according to a new report. TechCrunch reported that the company has been paying people ages 13 to 25 as much as $20 month in exchange for installing an app called Facebook Research on iOS or Android, which monitors their phone and web activity and sends it back to Facebook."How many times do we need to say #deletefacebook?

       @codesections See, but there's a pattern that always works: ```match $LANGUAGE with  | MLFamily lang -> true  | _ -> false> true```
