@djsumdog @purism Just send them an email if you haven't already and follow up - they will ship your phone. My experience was that they are very slow and probably underfunded / understaffed but they do get around to shipping the phone. I was lucky to receive mine around a month after ordering, but the laptop took several months!

@lps @delta It was suggested but Yunohost devs did not accept as they already have a mailserver included. You can find the issue on their Github repo.

@triskelion @purism I appreciate what GrapheneOS and other projects are doing. I wish gOS good luck in:- getting early access to future #AOSP sources as development is no longer public.- fixing the myriad of #Google shenanigans with the OS and Chromium.- getting mental health help for the main developer - he deserves all the help he can get.Unlike gOS, #Linuxphone development is not riding on decades of Google funded development of the OS. Progress is therefore slower but it is improving gradually. Besides #PureOS, there is also #Mobian and #postmarketOS - I especially look forward to the latter's future #ImmutableOS version which would have security benefits as well.#linuxmobile #linuxsecurity #freesoftware #mobilelinux #Linuxphones #gnuLinux #gnuLinuxMobile #distrowar #distrowars #SayNotoDistroWar #SayNo2DistroWar

@djsumdog @purism I'm glad I didn't cancel mine. Typing on it right now! Using postmarketOS with phosh.

@waltercool @dcc @purism $2k is pretty cheap for freedom. Try giving Samsung $4k and see if they let you easily uninstall their proprietary bloatware or support installing Linux on their hardware.

@josep528 Depends what you're using it for, how and with who... but some alternatives include #XMPP, Matrix, SimpleX, Zulip, Mattermost, #DeltaChat (for small trusted groups), #Briar, Cwtch, Session, Quiet, Jami, Jitsi Meet and Mumble. There's also Signal but it requires a phone number. You can have a main group chats app, and couple of tested backup ones.

@lightweight @josep528 Yeah, I think Jitsi, BBB, NextcloudTalk, Galene, etc call links can be integrated with DeltaChat, so clicking the video call button sends the link. I have only tested with Jitsi though.

@hellomiakoda Perhaps consider #Librem5, #LibertyPhone, or #MNTPocketReform with #GOnnect...? All of them should connect to Ethernet but they're ARM devices, not x86-64.

@SuperDicq #PureOS Crimson uses @beacondb. Btw, I was under the impression that MLS had to shut down due to some patent troll's legal threats or something...
