I want more people than myself using this hashtag. More people need to read #RFC1984 and refer to it to try and limit the deliberate stupidity of governments to gaslight us into having a less safe internet. https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc1984 the more people who read that rfc and apply what it implies the better. If I see the hashtag I will boost it. More people need to be aware of this rfc.

Regardless of some of the issues that are affecting newer RFCs the intent of this rfc is clear. Breaking encryption by weakening it, isn't best practise. It's not encrypted then. Use #RFC1984 for any information you come across when governments are trying to put pressure on tech to weaken encryption. Use it when companies like clearview are turning our public spaces into the #virtualpanoptican. #RFC1984 it's our Internet too and we need to take it back.

@jwildeboerIt's going to be interesting seeing the spread. At least you have the surgical masks. Debating if I should get some. Although I'll need to pick up some in Paris if I do. I did manage to avoid the cold last year. 🤔

@thatbricksterIt's a very polite thing to do in Japan I noticed for good reasons. I wonder how much jetlag is going to play into this as well. As it could mask symptoms. I'm going to grab some hand sanitiser at the very least. I don't use public transport alot as I work from home. So only potential risk points are the trains when travelling to where I'm doing a talk. @clacke @jwildeboer

@clackeI used the FFP2 I think in Canberra to block the smoke 2 weeks ago. Although not everyone was using them. They were easily available in Chemist's. @jwildeboer

I had tears in my eyes watching as the EU president walked in there. Very sad day. Just walked back into my hotel and the receptionist looked concerned. My eyes are a little puffy. I'm so sad about losing something I've had from my birth. I've taken advantage of that right. It's been snatched away by vested interests and some naive people, some I curious people and some downright xenophobic people. I'll get my citizenship back somehow. I know not everyone will be able to. It makes me so sad.
