sometimes i feel so thick. i don't know if i should write a function that just matches on type and calls another one, or returns that function to call on the next line... and i agonise over it

last rant of the day (promise) STOP GOLFING PYTHON! it just looks silly to write a ton of method calls with single-character variable names all squeezed in one line... it doesn't make your advent of code look like a smarter solution it just makes it harder to read

@louis I think the major divide between C and CL is that C has a runtime but it's a minimal interface to the OS. CL has a kitchen-sink runtime and garbage collection really turns people off out of the gate (unfairly).

Free Software should be a choice, we should be able to demonstrate to people why the Free Software approach (sharing, fundamentally) is superior to the OSI "Open Source" approach (appropriating)
