realized i tend to like already anthro-ized pokemon designs because people with those furry OCs are likely to keep the obtrusive/non-human elements like gardevoir or lucario's chest spike, or the claws of a snealser. but non-humanoid designs get defaulted to a very usual furry form (possibly too usual. as cute as the built in hair of a glaceon is, it tends to make the OCs very samey).

im moving into a new room in the house we repainted BUT ALSO we're replacing all the carpeting, in that room and my own room. so ive been packaging like im moving into a new place to live which is frustrating on a short time frame ngl ngl.i want to be finished with that tomorrow, then i can focus on painting. then the actual struggle is just moving all my shit back into my new room.

the thing with the vroid jade is that she is a compromise project from me being upset i was fucking up a modification to a low poly model. i dont hate her but god its not as interesting to me as what i wanted to do. + i feel like she needs a canon outfit as a default if i want to release her for other people to play with and i hate remaking outfits in character posers.

i say when i spend a lot of time recreating my OCs outfits.its still kinda painful/frustrating when i have to deal with compromises i just feel way more motivated/diligent.also usually if im making $MEDIA_PROPERTY character i want to play dress up not just recreate them.

@nataliemaybe i shouldve phrased it as "if i want to spend a lot of money on VR" since my current goal is just something with inside out tracking that i can play tethered to my PC.current goal (which isnt really a priority for me) is something with inside out tracking like a quest so it can be mostly self-contained (sans the need for a PC)

i might try tooltrace.ai later but i really would rather do a few of these by hand so i know the actual process involved.though i should probably swap to the gridfinity workbench in freecad, or at least try it out, i've been doing all the gridfinity layout by hand when i could automate that. i don't think theres a real benefit in doing it by hand anymore
