@Computeforloot @Lowie Agreed, the 2A has to go... either that, or SCOTUS reform, term limits, checks-n-balances, but I don't see how to achieve the latter this bitterly divided.Perhaps if the GOP really does go the way of the Whigs and Know Nothing Party ... if they're reduced to a 3rd party like Libertarians...What's needed is a viable Progressive party to flank Dems on the left, pushing Republicans into irrelevancy... with their help, of course.ETA: NOT the Green Party. @rodhilton @Bryan Self-hosting here (DigitalOcean) and can confirm... I've been paying about $25/mo.It's too expensive. And I don't really care about social media enough to move to a free instance. So I'll probably just quit mastodon in another month or so. Maybe I'll stick around if something here magically changes

Early on when I started notroot.social I was concerned about the situation where I was the only user, the only admin, and the only moderator. What if I said something drunkenly stupid, as is my wont, and I deserved some moderation? I admit, it could still happen!But I'm pretty sure "very rude" isn't a punishable offense.
