@vees Im now being told the bus driver yelled at the kid at dismissal & the parent assisted the bus driver, driver went back to the school & called police.

@vees I’m just being a busy body here, but my understanding is that all this happened at dismissal, meaning this parent was on school grounds when this happened. Which, to me, is of concern to all parents, students, teachers and staff.BCPS seems to have a “need to know” policy & they tell as few people as little as they can. This lack of transparency is frustrating.Do parents need to know about everything? No. But some things rise to that level. Rumors are worse than truth.

@vees ah. That checks out. My friend was saying “at dismissal” I was like well it had to happen at school unless the kid contacted their parent who then met them at the bus stop — which is what you’re saying. My friend also texted me that “the parent saluted the bus driver”, which was an autocorrect from “assaulted” so we were laughing about that (I was like… saluted 🫡 or saluted 🖕) & I didn’t around to clarifying “dismissal” 😝Would still love to know what it was all about.

@vees I don’t know but I wish I had done something like this sooner. They are taught to make complex, random, difficult to guess passwords & my kid could never keep up with them so he constantly reset his passwords & I part of our phone agreement is that I have passwords & it all got really out of control.

@vees I can’t. I worked in a tiny open office and people seemed confused that I didn’t want to hear (or smell 🙁) them. They would come up to me and be like “I’m off the call so you can take the headphones off.”“Oh ok. Cool.” Then I’d leave them on and go back to what I was doing.

@vees there’s lots of extra digits & one kind of melts into a face & another looks like a curled foot. AI has a problem with hands. Once I notice one I start looking at the rest like a Highlights hidden picture puzzle 😆

@vees I don’t buy a lot of alcohol. Is liquor not usually for sale on Sundays? I didn’t realize. Alcohol laws are so arbitrary. I still honestly don’t understand how liquor stores got an exemption from the bag law?

@vees I do mostly pick up orders, so I still get a ton of bags, but mostly paper now. Although some places will now take your stuff out of the bag & put it in your car (I keep a bin in the back & some reusable bags) — Target will do this.We did have an incident the first week where McDonald’s gave us all our food loose on a mobile order… it was an adventure.
