Twitter considering Mastodon malware. I have to admit, they’re not wrong. Mastodon can disrupt Twitter’s business. And those who post links certainly intend it to do just that. This is not new BTW. Vrij.social was created pre-Elon and when I tried to tell people about it (just my followers, nothing spammy) I got a permanent suspension.

The Mastodon WEB UI becomes incredibly slow when you just leave it opened on your timeline for some 24+ hours without interacting with it.Reload of the page does quickly fix it, but should not be necessary.

@brunospy @wongmjane block free e-mail providers on the sites you manage. Many sites already do this, though typically for other reasons, such as charge-back fraud.

@mariotaku @Sujiyan I remember a time when there were many different apps for Twitter. New Twitter apps and new versions of those apps always generated a lot of buzz. It greatly contributed to Twitter’s popularity and growth. Of course Twitter had to be greedy and kill 3rd-party apps. Most gave up very quickly. A few try to survive to this day.

When I follow a new person on Birdsite, the very first thing I do is disable rebirds by that person. I hate people boosting something without adding their view or opinion on the matter. If I follow you, I want YOUR opinion, not that of a stranger. Contrary to most, I think quoted boosts should be the only kind of boosts allowed. I would definitely appreciate the option to see only quoted boosts and hide all others.
