For scientific conferences, the mood is very much like the first two weeks of March 2020: we feel that a travel stop is coming soon, we just don't know when it will be, and most people don't really want to start planning for it until it is in effect.This being said, a scientific conference that takes place *next week* has authorized, as of this morning, remote presentation for all speakers who request it.

Math question: I have an external battery, that occasionally displays the charge level. Except I don't know which side is up, and it seems every time I look at it the number can be read either way. Am I just unlucky or is that statistically likely?
