@futurebird I live in Sydney, Australia and we've only had three days without torrential rain this month. It's flooded the rivers, created hundreds of potholes, and affected the economy, the road-accident mortality rate, and I would say the mood of five million people.It's not supposed to be like this. I think a lot of people are thinking about a future where the weather is like this all the time.

@futurebird Is the "birthday book" thing something common with wealthy people or unique to Epstein and his circle? I find the whole idea cringey and weird. And it wasn't even a round-number birthday, right? Maybe if you were 70, or retiring, it would make more sense.

I keep reading the same thing in article after article about #charliekirk — "all of us were forced to see the horrible video on #SocialMedia whether we wanted to or not". Not to be too smug about it but no, not all of us, right? Because I'm on #Mastodon I didn't get auto-playing videos of Kirk's shooting brought to me by an algorithm which decided it was "popular".
