“The Inner Light” is arguably the best episode of any #StarTrek series.

They wrote a sequel to the "Inner Light," but didn't film it. The writer did make it into a graphic novel, you can find part of here: http://treksinscifi.com/podcast_notes/?p=2292#StarTrek #tng

Was just reminded of the geek code. Went to generate mine, and realized:1. How outdated it was (USENET, X-Files)2. Lots of stuff I miss (VMS, USENET)3. I'm old. Not that I needed the Geek Code to tell me that. ...gave up on generating it.

@Ocean I'm 80% with you, though I'm gaining a fondness for my Switch.

@Ocean I definitely agree it's going to be a classic. The PlayStations and XBoxes are OK, I guess, but lack the personality and innovation. I see you point about the personality (though I did create a Mii). Backwards compatibility wasn't a huge issue for me--I still have a Wii, and never had its predecessors--though I really want a modern Wii Sports/Sports Resort/Fit for my Switch.

@Ocean I can definitely see Wii as a better package than the Switch. That said:1. Nintendo seems to have dialed in the casual/non hardcore gamer crowd. I can't think of as many titles for other platforms with the same personality. See Wii Sports, Mario Kart, etc.2. Likewise, I think they do better job at social gaming. They lend themselves to many folks playing a game together. 3. While Switch may not be as unique/clever as the Wii, combines a lot of neat stuff that is innovative on its own..

@Ocean The combined handheld/console nature was a serous game changer (no pun intended) in my household. Love that I can play on a big screen, then switch to a handheld when we want to watch something. We haven't done "kickstand" family play that often, but it's been fun.

Got a web server on a Linux server. I want to get files up to it from my iPhone. Current solution: iPhone to box.com, then to the server. Any direct options?

I noticed I have 9 GB of unallocated space on my new hard drive. Debating putting an MS DOS partition on it, just for the hell of it. What do you think, @dosnostalgic ?

eBikes have become the AI of the cycling world. This is not meant as a compliment.
