Totally transformative! - tho I remember some years ago hearing that some local[WGTN] dentists wanted to return to the not-in-use dental practice in the inner city for homeless. The only treatment available WAS extraction - I heard that dentists in the richer suburbs hardly extracted at all due to income of the clients. Preventative care wasn't on offer for those at the hardest hit end of the economy@strypey

I'm really liking the feeling of Mastodon, reminiscent on the heady, healthy, inspiring and anarchic early days of the internet - pre-troll, pre-algorhithm, yet a little more grown up, less naive. Please let's not fuck it up this time#mastodon #confidence

Hello you good humans. I agree strypy, I get a real excited sense of familiarity with the potential here, and even more exciting that there seems to be a second opportunity to get thing better. It's brilliant the tech innovations and iterating continued to develop. And hey @jfa.. Nice to be in your company again@strypey @jfa

This is a good thread from @atomicpoet , a point I find really interesting is the reflection on ppl coming to fediverse and acting like 'customers', the idea were all consumers, the customer is always right... not herehttps://mastodon.social/@atomicpoet/109571119630076191atomicpoet@mastodon.social - Journalists: Why doesn't the Fediverse allow quote boosts?Me: It does. Here's a screenshot of me quote boosting your posts.Journalists: Why?—Oh why, won't anyone implement that feature?!Me: 🙄

@strypey Good aye, I use her practices most days. I understand she's also a practicing clinical psychologist, so very well based in the sciences as well .. which is good for people like me

@strypey as positive a this sounds alas it is not new in health. Mason Durie's model of Te Whare Tapa Wha is at least a couple of decades old, & was important in the implementation of the Primary Health Care Act at the start of the century. There were a number of 'by Māori for Māori' services established, then disestablished, Whanau Ora is the latest iteration.

@strypey I often think maybe it would be best if it were only available perscription only still. It's an ugly way to OD if you don't get help in time... something like 8 hours

@strypey It's a bugger the article is behind a paywall... in yet to read this book but I will be soon. I've just finished Peter Frankopans The Earth. Transformed which is a brilliant review on History which includes the environmental as a important context on how life evolved/ developed.
