I was in a shop yesterday, and the cashier kept saying either "ma'am" or "man", but I had an earbud in so I couldn't quite make it out and this has been my everything ever since because this may be the first time I was correctly gendered by a stranger.

I'm trying to moderate the federated timeline here a bit more strictly, and will be trying to silence any particularly spammy bots, you will still be able to follow them if you want their content.I'm just sick of the timeline having like, 10 different bots that post anime girls constantly, instead of actual content.

I'm 6 weeks sober today. The last week has been a really difficult one, with a lot of social settings with heavy drinking, and now with post-PAX depression setting in. But I handled it, and think I can keep handling it.

If there's one thing that this taught me, it's that I was not ok before. As much as I believed I had it under control, and I was fine, and functional, I was not. I was a mess. Just remembering how I used to feel has been a lot of what's kept me strong but it's still difficult.I'm not sure why I'm sharing this with y'all, I guess I hope talking about it can help me keep going, and maybe help other people struggling with the same thing.
