@mb @Jdreben I am genuinely curious to why do you feel that @Gargron or any of the #Mastodon devs would be obligated to help you? If youâre running a Linux server, you wouldnât ping Linus Torvalds directly for help with your install would you and expect him or the Linux kernel team to drop what theyâre doing to help you?

@Jdreben âServerlessâ just means youâre a hostage to someone elseâs bidding đUnfortunately with serverless functions, a lot of it is locked into how the vendor implements it and itâs hard to spread the workload over multiple public clouds like one with VMs. But, there are options, like the author mentioned. They should take their money elsewhere if AWS doesnât give a sh*t about their customers, else why keep paying to beg for them to update their stack?

@Jdreben LOL as I read your first sentence, I was like âAWS is basically a digital drug dealerâ and the I got to your final sentence. đTerraform is great for some situations like this to enable companies to automate the building of infrastructure across public clouds, but yea, canât beat free.
