Been retrying that Text RPG clone in Godot 4 this week, actually got a working 3x3 navigation box working... Though why I call on a switch case statement for every zone change (based on an integer as an ID) is kinda beyond me right now. Though, on the plus side... All the buttons use string parsing to determine what action is being taken and what methods to run.Hell, it's scarcely the ASCII map with WASD controls i was planning on, but at least there's something to work with as a prototype.No idea how it'll play out when adding in baddies to fight later. Still a ways off on adding inventory and player items, and damage mechanics too.#Godot #gamedev #TextRPG
