@wizzwizz4 @sotolf @hurtado Those are nowadays social-democracies, which are just moderated versions that slowly become authoritarian. For instance, my country or Venezuela. It helps legitimize dictators through democracy.

@Zezin Suppose you have a friend in Venezuela and you send him/her crypto to buy a crypto mining rig, a 3D printer or anything that can be used to produce money. That's not only giving them food but an asset.

@fanta Ojalá se empiece a usar los NFT de una forma un poco más madura. Veo que es una tecnología súper interesante pero en este momento muy especulativa. La única utilidad tangible que tienen es evasión fiscal, que si bien es un uso noble y necesario, se queda corto aún.

@pyre35 this advice comes from the bottom of my heart: don't use PayPal. They are nefarious. They'll ban you for no reason, siphon your business data, censor your transactions, spy on them and refuse to give you your money (it's actually their money) if you don't think like them.

@pyre35 Yes I know it's really tough. The average person uses crap like Venmo & Paypal and are super attached to it. Plus, it's not easy to use alternatives like crypto in many countries without going through KYC processes, and the volatility doesn't help.

@rafaelcaricio not surprising at all. Monopolies are created by governments after all. I don't trust WhatsApp, but first of all, i don't trust government in charge of people's safety.
