@DaddyO Agreed. I am a fan of shorter, tighter storytelling so I almost always find crap in movies that could be cut. Most modern movies could easily lose 15-20 minutes and be better.I have though about doing a movie review show where I discuss what should have been cut from movies.

Just got back from Podcast Movement. I will just say that there were a LOT more brown dress shoes than sneakers, and a lot more neckties than I ever like to see at a get together focused on something that is a hobby or passion project for most of the people that do it.The walled gardens are expanding and locked gates are getting installed, where the only key that works is cash or your soul.

Made my garage door opener work with home assistant.Wired up an esp32c3 supermini as the brain. Hooked a relay up to a spare garage door remote, and added a reed switch to tell us if the door is currently open or closed. No more "Shit, did I leave the garage door open?" and having to turn around and go check.No cloud crap or subscriptions either.

Made this for my wife for Valentines Day. When she touches it, it gets the heart rate reading from my smart watch and pulses at that rate. So she can see my heart still beats for her any time she wants.ESP32 + touch sensor + buzzer + Home Assistant
