Finally got around to writing a blog. I am doing a series on my big tech breakup project for 2023. I thought it would be interesting to document my personal efforts to get out of the surveillance system. I got some time today to work at learning #FreeCad and while there is much I don't understand yet, I did finally sort out a good workflow for building my first part for #3dPrinting ! I do have to say that I redrew it 3 different times before figuring out the best approach. Finally decided to start my sketch from the front of the object since it was the most complicated and knocked if out in an hour, about quarter of the time it took to do the first 2 attempts! Now I'm getting handle on this!

@chrishuck I believe it! After I accepted the first one was totally booked starting the 3rd version was just the obvious thing to do! Lol I'm pretty sure I'm going to get faster at the iterations in my next part or two!

@chrishuck haha this sounds just like programming! Looking over code from 10 years ago and I debate if I should remove be it from GitHub to avoid embarrassment 😂

@rysiek @Codeberg @forgejo I had a similar reaction to the GH addition... I deleted my rel from GH which I've left to longer with no plans to push any code there again. @Codeberg is the place to be!

@thenewoil interesting new practice...makes you wonder though..if a site is requesting specific chars in a password how are they not storing the password in plain text? Being that the best practice is only storing a one way hash of the password to ensure db breaches dont leak passwords... Sounds like a potential warning sign no? Props to Bitewarden for maintaining users sanity though!
