@Linux Was out with my wife at a cafe doing some work. She was using her Windows 10 laptop connected to her phones hotspot and I was using Ubuntu on mine.Windows 10 decided to download updates which finished her monthly data plan and asked me to use my laptop to finish her work. Went back home later and asked me to install Ubuntu for her.

@boilingsteam @Linux Yeah, also with Gnome she didn't find it hard. Very streamlined easy to use desktop environment. Much easier to change settings compared to Windows 10.

@Linux @boilingsteamTotally agree with you. The reason I always recommend Gnome first is because it is a complete package, it includes built in compositor and desktop sharing without the need to install any packages unlike a lot of other distros. This is daunting for newcomers who might have screen tearing or need remote assistance. Also it doesn't overwhelms the user with a lot of customization options such as KDE. I am not against KDE but it is suited more to power users not casuals.
