@Teri_Kanefield Yes I noticed that over there too. I even posted a link that was broken on the :birdsite: by adding a space after the https (and told people to copy/paste to location bar and remove space as twitter is broken). Ugly workaround.

@Teri_Kanefield Looks like something wasn't tested properly in a non production environment before installing it. Basically the "t dot co" domain is a link shorten-er & tracker. Under the hood this server is using "A Programming Interface" to look up the original link and tell your browser to go there as a redirect response. However with them trying to charge for use of this API, this broke the shorten-er!

@stux I realize meta will only want to embrace and extend. But I think blocking out initially might lead meta to ddos the many servers running now. Need to work on hardening the mastodon software against the coming abuse.

@edgeoforever As for how they got your email.. haveibeenpwned.com/ might have some insight. You can give your email address and they can say if its out in the public with all the sites they are aware of. OR don't, you can look at "Who's been pwned" link and you can look to see if you may have given one of the listed companies an email address.

@futurebird @0xF21D @KFuentesGeorge I always think of ants as much simpler machines. They are literally following scent trails like a computer running a logo program. Diligent might not be right word, as I don't think they have as much sense of self as a larger animal would. Indulging the ant with treats might cause more ants to stray to where this ant is.

@aral @starlabs @tuxedocomputers @system76 For those who don't want to part with funds, I'd say I've never had much of an issue with a used Dell. I'm still running from an install on a prior Dell with Fedora 17. I've upgraded twice a year since and moved hardware by copying hard drive image to new to me machine (now my fourth). Even migrating from BIOS/MBR style boot to UEFI. So I've never tried the Silverblue variant of Fedora. I give a month after fedora release b4 upgrade.

@futurebird @AppleAmps I am very picky about my chocolate. Most of the brands at my grocery store are unappealing. Like Lindt, Ghirardelli, Hershey. They just don’t feel right in the mouth. I also like it very dark. Anything under 80% cocoa just tastes like sugar to me.
