@twitnews I canceled my parents’ overpriced cable service and switched them to Pluto TV a while back. Why pay so much for a bunch of silly ad-supported cable channels when Pluto offers this completely free?

@twitnews TikTok can’t be that much of a threat if this is their strategy. They clearly don’t know how DC works. It’s simple - you want to stave off government intervention you send lobbyists, not influencers. Politicians respond to money, not protesters.

@alexelcu I think this is a little misleading. Users also fund Firefox through donations and Apple funds quite a bit of Safari through their own ad service.

@linuxtechmore I have a few theories on this. For the people old enough to remember Firefox before Chrome, they probably still think of it as being a slower and less user friendly browser. Also, Google throws Chrome in your face every chance it gets if your not using it. Plus I think with Chromebooks being so dominant in education these days, that plays a big role with younger users starting off in Chrome and never really thinking of switching to anything else.
