@DeborahLeagueFineArt - Very Nice! Have you scanned the image then so that you could sell digital prints? Because if so I would so buy that, lay it down on some nice archival quality canvas with a gallery wrap on a fine art printer, seal it, and frame it.

Due to the current nature of The Fediverse I have no problem with new follows or being followed because we're all pretty much the early adopters, the tinkerers, and the builders looking to encourage something new. Congrats and keep it up, everyone. We're all in this together. I've met some amazing people here and only a very small minority that deserved to be blocked right out of the gate. 👍

@Rasp The problem here, of course, is that apex consumers tend to acquire more, and more dangerous, (expensive) toxins and therefore harmful genetic divergence from over-indulgence, gluttony, greed, wrath, and pride, not to mention the hugely expensive food and drink. Therefore, the solution here seems to be "compost the rich" and ... ... ... and why aren't we doing that RIGHT NOW?!?

@blacklight "If the young but knew..." My first computer had a whopping 4K (yes, 4 Kilobytes) of main memory. Today I'm forced (occasionally) to deal with a circle (jerk) of Agile coders who are powerless when the IDE on their MacBook Pros won't launch, with absolutely no idea where to start in fixing the problem; the file servers, the datastores, their Macbook, the network, or a hundred other things they know nothing about. Oh, and trying to teach them about IPv6 is basically pointless.

@cybeej @blacklight I find it both annoying and comical that my IPv6 plant is larger than the two largest broadband providers in my region, so I get you.

@Natanox The DefCon of today is nothing like the DefCon of the early 2000s or the late 1990s. I stopped bothering in the early twenty-teens. It's not "horrible", it's just not the same social situation it used to be. Now it's more like "Edgy LinkedIn for Hardcores", and even the notion of "hardcore" has changed A LOT in 25-30 years.

@mayonesa @Natanox True. They don't "build their own" (not in the way that I'm thinking anyway), or speak assembler, or build red or blue or brown boxes anymore. But hey!, good news!, many of them speak JavaScript or Swift, or Go... until the IDE on their MacBook crashes and they're helpless. Dunno. It's evolution, and it's different, and I can accept those differences..., I'm just harder to impress as I get older I guess. Call me Captain Cranky Bits....

@siina And by association; MegaSquish and MicroSquish. Which opens up the possibilities of Mini, Milli, Giga, Exa, Peta, Fempta, and probably a bunch of other cool combinations. I'm gonna need to invest in ExaHard early on... 👍

@lucifargundam @yurnidiot @flowerpot Of course not. That would be an error of omission. What other similar roles can you think of? Point is, women are just as important as men, only there exists a class of men that are too fucking stooopid to understand this simple fact, and they're fucking things up at an alarming rate.

@stux The smart home tech still has a long way to go in functionality and security, so if you want to spend twelve to fifteen grand on your home update a furnace, kitchen, or bathroom instead of fighting with light switches and lamps and outlets that will let you down later. My rule is, "if it has a non-zero chance of making my wife angry by not functioning correctly then it's not ready yet."
