       @codewiz I re-read yesterday the "Vampire Attack Twitter" https://geohot.github.io/blog/jekyll/update/2022/04/16/vampire-attack-twitter.html about jump-starting a social network and jumping over the chicken-and-egg problem. No idea about the crypo aspect of it, but: the crowdsourcing of manual labour via browser add-on to cross-post from old social -> new social is the only plan/solution proposed I've ever seen on how to jump start new social network by piggybacking on an existing one.

       @fitheach TBH if I were him I'd make it one mastodon instance to start with, and latter split it into several. He can still do content moderation, have adverts and advertisers etc. Just save on dev costs initially, and in the future contribute back towards Mastodon codebase. But - I'm not him 😃
