You can donate directly to the org on the website, or you can read the letters from trans youth on their instagram, but to hit individual Amazon registries to buy specific wishlist items, you have to hit the link in the IG bio, then click on the specific letter again. I recommend having the bio link open in a browser tab on a computer so you don't have to go back and forth. I scored a 97.00 on the USPS mail carrier assessment, a mix of accuracy testing and "how likely are you to not be a shitty co-worker" personality questions. But they give zero indication of whether that's a percent or what. The instructions just say if you see a score at all, you passed.

Welp, USPS emailed me a conditional job offer this morning. No interview, no human contact at all, just the application and assessment. Job contingent on a background check. Looks like I'm going to be a mail carrier again, at least for a bit.

Today in "performative jingoism":Pickup truck with a bike in the back, draped in a large American flag. The flag was filthy with dirt and soot, and had a large rip with tattered edges in the middle. If I didn't know any better I'd say it was commentary on what a shithole the US is. But it wasn't 🙃

Cool that my search for bar soap offers a filter for gender like we wash ourselves any differently.Actually now that I think about it, my partner does get a look of abject horror when I mention I just use the cheapest bar soap I can find to scrub my face every day...but even so, bar soap shouldn't be fucking gendered.

I deposited my kind of shitty first check from USPS on Saturday and for some reason my bank decided I would have access to zero of the funds until tomorrow. So just now I got an email alert from them telling me my account has dropped below $50, and all I can see through the red haze is the goose meme with the goose saying "WHY is it below $50? WHY IS IT BELOW $50, MOTHERFUCKER?"

Incidentally I would not recommend taking a job as a mail carrier in your 50s unless, like me, you had no other choice. I'm in very good shape and I still want to curl up and die at the end of every work day.
