@cmos4040 @rra I don't really know. I bought 32GB for some reason when I was building my desktop few years ago but I still don't really know why. Not sure if I've ever gone above 50%, so by that logic 16 should be more than enough. But maybe I'll just stop closing tabs and just keep on opening new ones as I compile multiple openframeworks things.

Trying #CryptPad for creating a slideshow. Pretty nice so far and it is super nice to create slides in markdown. Still need to figure out if there are more options to style it beyond changing text and background color.

Plotted a portion of a map of Reykjavík today. Still need to get a better pen and find a smoother workflow for generating the svg for the map

@entreprecariat @rra yes hopefully soon it will be everywhere. It's way nicer than some convoluted JS library thingy or whatever the alternative is

@entreprecariat @alcstrt I've been using Scribus quite regularly for the past year or two and for the most part it works as advertised, especially for simpler layout. Though there is some bug (feature?) where the textboxes handle diacritics weirdly but if you are doing an English portfolio it shouldn't be an issue.Otherwise if you are feeling experimental you could try out something like html2print, paged.js or Even (https://xxyxyz.org/even/)

@entreprecariat @alcstrt Yeah there's a bunch of things that feel pretty clunky like the image thing so you often have to wrestle a bit with scribus to get the desired results. But there's not really many other options, at least for linux :unwanted_thinking:

@entreprecariat oh damn, didn't realize that. I think maybe also CSS frameworks (like tailwindcss, but I have very little experience with that) and standardized ways to design UI/UX (material design and the other things from big tech) has probably also had some effect on making all websites look the same.

@entreprecariat Use LESS/SASS with tailwindcss framework to stylize the components inside your react app following the Material-UI framwork to send queries to your headless cloud CMS with netlify to render a static website on AWS server!!! web design is so much simpler now
