There are so many blind spots and logical fallacies in this man's answers that one has to assume he's not pretending. He really is that stupid.

Remember 2020? That was the year a cop killed a Black guy. Wild times. We got caught up but we’re feeling much better now.

To put $56 billion into perspective:The Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776.If on that day you had started collecting a salary of $1 million per month, your lifetime earnings to date would be a little shy of $3 billion.To collect $56 billion on a monthly salary, you would have had to start around 2640 BCE. Give or take a decade or two, that's about when the first pyramid was built in Egypt.https://www.nbcnews.com/tech/tech-news/elon-musk-wins-tesla-shareholder-vote-56-billion-pay-package-rcna156892

Tesla has around 140,000 employees. Assuming that the average pay for all Tesla workers, down to the lowest paid, is anything less than $400,000 — which is orders of magnitude higher than whatever the average is — a $56B pay package means that Musk himself is more valuable to the company than all of its workers, combined. Given a choice between getting rid of Musk and getting rid of every single employee, the board would keep Musk and lose all of the skills and expertise of its 140,000 workers.I wouldn't trust those people to hold my beer.

@futurebird If I were a teacher there I would teach about nothing but the Sermon on the Mount. OK, we're starting a 3-week unit on "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven."Then we'll have 4 weeks on "Give to the one who asks you, and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you."And then we'll have 2 weeks on "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them," which is about infallibility, because if you've ever watched how hard birds work you know that Jesus didn't know fuck-all about birds, so what else was he ignorant about hmm?Let's see, then 2 weeks on "Do not judge, or you too will be judged ..."

@futurebird I'm not 100% sure of many things in this life, but I'm 100% sure of something I've been saying for as long as I can remember: Donald Trump will never see the inside of a jail cell.

@futurebird I am not wrong, sorry. I wish I was, but our entire country has been built on the idea of keeping people like him out of jail. Like, that's job 1.

@futurebird We're just going to have to wait and see. You might be right and I hope you are, but I would bet folding money you're not.

@futurebird Someone close to me told his buddy that he was thinking about taking a pottery class. He'd always been fascinated by it but now, with kids grown and his career at a kind of cruising altitude in his 50s, he had time. The friend, also in his 50s, said "Isn't pottery for girls?" Like what??? Where do they keep these lists?

@futurebird This is a familiar tactic of his. I call it the Trump Paradox. He always lies, but when he says he "didn't know" something, it's almost by definition true.

@futurebird Engagement-bait is the best term I've heard for it. Though that also applies to vagueposting or intentionally wrong assertions.

@futurebird The people both sides hope will be watching are the people who will decide the election. The people who are — and this is the kind way to put it — "undecided." Calling them undecided is like calling me undecided about what the Higgs Boson is.They're morons. They barely know who Trump and Harris are, never mind having opinions about them.They're either going to go "I like how that Trump talks" or "I like how that Harris talks" or "Whoa, that Trump guy's a lunatic" or "Oh, Harris is Black."And then they might decide who to vote for, or, more likely, they'll forget the whole thing until they're handed a ballot, if they vote, at which point they'll cast their vote based on whatever caught their attention in the previous 24 hours.

@futurebird I don't think it's wrong to think he WOULD think that, but I also think that's too complex a thought process for him. I'm not joking. There was a bogus Facebook post saying that McDonald's issued a statement saying they had no record of her being an employee, and he picked up on that as Harris lying. More likely, one of his dumb minions just told him about it.McDonald's has issued no such statement, it should go without saying.

@futurebird It's happened 14 times! But only one of those was Yankees-Mets, in 2000.Yankees-Dodgers happened 7 times (1941, 47, 49, 52, 53, 55, 56). Yankees-Giants happened 6 times (1921, 22, 23, 36, 37, 51).From 1947-56, 7 of the 10 World Series were Subway Series.The only ones out of the 14 that the Yankees lost were 1921, 22 and 55.

@futurebird I'm sure the idea of sexual abuse is in the mix, but, speaking only about my own experience going to public elementary and middle school in a big city in the '70s, bathrooms were scary places because of violence, not sexual abuse.I acknowledge that sexual abuse may have been present without it ever occurring to me at that age. But bathrooms were safety zones for bullies and terrorists. It was out of sight of authority figures, and if you got caught in a bathroom with someone who was bigger than you or outnumbered you, and you weren't friends, you were in danger. I've seen this depicted in movies and TV shows. It's one of the few things I've ever seen depicted about school in movies etc. that lined up with what school actually looked like in my life.

@futurebird An appropriate morning read, or re-read as the case may be.It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone.A.
