@breizh ah oui mais l'autoroute 401 à Toronto elle est magique : pendant les heures de pointes elle se transforme en parc de stationnement géant.La 401 a aussi le triste record d'être l'autoroute la plus fréquentée au monde… :(D'ailleurs, comme sur la vidéo, ils sont en train de l'élargir entre Toronto et Kitchener (où j'habite), ce qui va bien entendu générer encore plus de traffic.@Troll

@dada impressionnant !Par contre la quantité de filament éjecté lors du nettoyage pour l'utilisation multi-matériaux est assez hallucinante. Ça doit pouvoir s'optimiser.

@nextcloud no big tech snooping on our datadocument collaboration, with Collabora CODE integrationfull-text + OCR indexingdesktop integration (just missing Virtual FS in Linux, and we can call it perfect)We are two families using it, sharing photos, videos, and documents around, all under our own "lastname.com" domains, which reinforces the sense of owning our data.It really helps us share information and organise our paperwork, especially because we are spread between four countries, three continents.Happy Nextcloud user since v1 (former Owncloud user).

Journal d'un touriste à Paris, jour 5.J'hallucine comment les transports sont bondés et les gens trop énervés.Finalement j'arrive Place de la République. Y'a du monde à Paris, c'est vraiment la foule.Il doit y avoir un tournoi de soccer, les gens portent les couleurs de leurs équipes : CGT, CFDT, etc.Leur humeur change rapidement : parfois ils chantent joyeusement, parfois ils éructent des cris de guerre.Ils veulent manger des macarons, rêvent de plages sous les pavés, veulent changer le maillot du joueur 64, et surtout parlent d'avancer ou reculer les buts, je sais plus. Les policiers sont sur le côté et surveillent la population d'un œil mauvais.Décidément la vie parisienne est très animée même de jour.

My personal #Nextcloud server has 12 (very) active users (family + in-laws), over 1TB of data and growingIt is used for file synchronisation and also as a groupware suite where we store various documents among family members to manage administrative paperwork, work/school stuff, share/edit documents with Collabora, auto-upload media files from phones, share family pics and videosthe storage back-end is S3-compatible (Wasabi)DB runs on PostgreSQLeverything is backed up via restic/rclone and replicated to a NASI decided to migrate from AMD to a VPS using Ampere (ARM) architecture, and was thus able to double the amount of vCPUs (4→8 vCPUs), RAM (8 GB→16 GB) and local disk (80 GB→160 GB) all the while reducing monthly cost!Everything went flawlessly, Zabbix/Kuma monitoring and restic are operationalDown time: one hour. Only one user noticed: of course, one that is living in the same time zoneNextcloud now feels much more responsive (I would say it is now on par with GoogleDocs from a user's perspective)In comparison, upgrading to Nextcloud 27 caused me more trouble, haha! Because of a bug in the Files/FullTextSearch app, I had to temporarily run an "occ app:disable files_fulltextsearch" to avoid an "Internal Server Error" condition — but a fix is already coming: https://github.com/nextcloud/files_fulltextsearch/pull/227

@Mastodon it is not analogous to GoogleTalk and FB Messenger embracing XMPP then ditching it when they get enough traction.It is more akin to Microsoft and Google offering email services and gaining such a dominant marketshare that they have rendered deliverability of email from small independent providers extremely difficult, to the point that even seasoned IT professionals are giving up and using Microsoft or Google platforms because managing your own server has become too difficult.Yes, we all use the same SMTP protocol, but some SMTP servers are more equal than others, no matter how careful you are in picking a clean IP, setting up SPF records, DKIM signing and DMARC policies.A handful of big players are taking control of the e-mail federation.l sure hope ActivityPub does not suffer a similar fate.With Meta "embracing" (first E in the proverbial EEE strategy) the Fediverse, the most obvious targets are microblogging (Pleroma, Mastodon, Calc/Misskey) and image sharing (PixelFed).The concern of concentration already existed with larger instances like mastodon.social, but Meta entering the chat is a whole nother level.
